Quick Tips
- If you
want your bouquet to ship today, order no
later than 1 PM Eastern Time.
- If you
want your bouquet to arrive this week, order
before Wednesday at 1 PM Eastern (Thursday
at 1 PM with Overnight Shipping).
- Double-check
the address, zip code and phone number
before ordering.
- We
will pass along UPS fees for incorrect address to you if you supply
us with an incorrect/insufficient address. Currently $12 or more.

Are
you a wire service?
No. We ship nationwide
using UPS. We are not a franchise and will not refer you to
other gift shops or cookie companies because we cannot ensure
the quality of the service and products you will receive.
What
are the shipping options?
You may choose:
UPS Fresh Ground for $7.95 (must be within 4 days of our store
in Raleigh NC 27604),
UPS 2 Business Day Shipping for $9.95
Standard Overnight Shipping. Overnight shipping starts at $19.95.

is UPS Fresh Ground™?
This
is Cathys Cookie Bouquets terminology for our means of offering
you our well established freshness standards at a more affordable
shipping price.
Here's
how it works: If your destination is within 4 Business Days
of Our Store in Raleigh NC, the shopping cart will include UPS
Fresh Ground as an available shipping choice.

We
are very careful about the duration that your gift is in transit.
Your satisfacton is the key to our success. If your destination
is 3 days in transit from Raleigh NC 27604, the only possible
days of the week for arrival are Thursday and Friday. Due to
the weekend, which adds two more days of transit time, we only
ship packages destined 3 days shipping "transit" time
on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Why
did you just start UPS Fresh Ground™
now?
Until
quite recently, UPS would not guarantee the time in transit
to residential addresses. Obviously in our business residential
shipping is a very large component of what we do. We felt we
would risk disappointing you, our customer if we were to assume
an arrival date and not have it be delivered late.
What
is the most commonly chosen option?
Until the introduction
of UPS Fresh Gorund Over 90% of our bouquets are shipped via
2 Business day service. The cookies will arrive with plenty
of freshness and at a lower cost than Overnight shipping. We
will update this question as we get more data about the popularity
of Fresh Ground shipping.
What
is a Business Day?
A
business day is Monday thru Friday
with the exclusion of any holidays.
Saturday and Sunday are not business
days as well as any National
Holidays.
Do
I Get to choose what date my order arrives on?
Yes! After you
place your item(s) in the shopping cart and move on to checkout,
you will begin keying in all of the necessary info for your
order. When you get to the area where you choose your shipping
method (Local hand delivery, UPS Fresh Ground, UPS 2 Business
Day, Standard Overnight, Priority Overnight, etc.) you first
choose the shipping method, below those buttons is a drop down
menu where all of the available arrival dates are located. Chose
a date after you choose your shipping method.
When
does my order need to be placed to ship
on the same day?
It must be received
no later than 1 PM Eastern time on weekdays. We do not
ship on Sundays or National Holidays. Please note that we reserve
the right to require advance notice during peak Holidays like
Christmas, Valentine’s and Mother’s Day. In other
words, place your order with plenty of advance notice whenever
possible. The cut off time for same day shipping may be withdrawn
during very busy periods as well.
Can
UPS deliver to a PO Box?
No. We must have
a street address.
I
need something delivered today beyond the
Raleigh NC area. Can it get there today?
No.
Shipping takes at least one calendar
day.
What
will happen if I give a wrong address?
Your
package will probably not get there
on time and you will be charged a
separate fee of at least $12. We
can't stress the importance enough of
an accurate address and phone number
of your recipient.

Costs
Why
is shipping so expensive?
The
two-day shipping cost is an
average of the charges we
accumulate from UPS, as well
as the time spent preparing a
Bouquet for delivery. After
monitoring our competitors'
shipping policies, we decided
upon this method. Our prices are
lower than most everyone else,
given the time constraints, and
the value we offer is second to
none. We also pack our bouquets
for shipping with much more care
than our competitors do.
What
is the surcharge for oversized
bouquets?
$10 to $40,
depending on size. An "oversized" bouquet means
that the size of the box the bouquet is shipped in is greater
than 1 cubic foot. Our standard shipping box is precisely
one cubic foot (8"w X 11"d X 17"h), but some
of our Custom Bouquets will not fit in this small box. UPS
charges a steep surcharge, called dimensional weight, if the
package is bigger than a cubic foot. They also charge for
the distance the Bouquet will travel. We have made every effort
to note where the bouquet is considered Oversized. Please

What
Address info does Cathy's Cookie
Baskets need?
We
need full name, business name (if
applicable), complete physical
address, zip code and phone
number.
What
is a Physical Address?
That means
where the business or residence actually is located. A numbered
street address, City, State and Correct Zip Code for the Street
Address. Not a PO Box. Save yourself the incorrect address
fee and go to the USPS ZipCode
Database before placing
your order. You may also want to try one of the numerous phonebook-type
directories such as Starting Point to find the
address and phone number of your recipient.
What
if I give an incorrect address?
PLEASE
be certain of your address before
ordering! We pass along UPS's
fee of $12 for the correction,
which will appear on your credit
card statement as a separate
charge. And UPS may not get
the bouquet to the destination in
time for your important occasion.
Do
you know of any places that I can
check my shipping address?
YES!
The Postal Service offers a
database that is free to look up
the ZIP+4 of every address in the
country: www.usps.gov/ncsc.
Will
Cathy's Cookie Baskets look up the
address for me?
No.

Getting
It There On Time
Can
something be shipped to arrive on the
same day that it is shipped?
Only
Raleigh NC deliveries and the
surrounding towns. Anything
beyond that will be shipped via
UPS and the soonest it could
arrive would be the following
day.
How
late can I order if I need something
shipped today?
Order by 1:00
PM eastern time. During busy periods like major holidays,
(Mother's Day, Valentines Day and other busy periods) we may
not be able to ship your order on the same day. The best bet
is to order as far in advance as possible. Don't worry, your
bouquet will be made with delicious freshly baked cookies
the day it is shipped.
I
need it to arrive by the end of the week.
You will need
to order your Bouquet by Wednesday at 1:00pm Eastern Standard
Time with 2 day shipping or Thursday by 1 PM with overnight
shipping.
I
didn't order by Wednesday, but still want it by the end of this
week.
You will need
pay overnight shipping, for it to be shipped on Thursday and
arrive Friday. Look on the bright side; they're gonna get
REALLY fresh cookies!
I want to use
2 Day shipping, is there a possibility that it will get there
in one day?
UPS can, at
its discretion, deliver a day early. Sometimes customers love
this, sometimes they hate it. If you want it to arrive precisely
on an important date, Birthdays, Valentines, Anniversaries,
etc then be advised that they sometimes arrive early.
How can I assure
that it won't arrive a day early?
You would
need to order Overnight Shipping.

Concerns
Is
shipping safe?
Yes,
very safe! To ensure this, we
check with random recipients to
monitor our shipping for safety
and freshness. They rave about
the freshness, the quality of
packaging and the overall quality
of the bouquets they receive. We
also track your package while it
is in transit from here to your
loved one's address until it is
safely delivered. We have tested
shipping bouquets from other
cookie companies, and have found
that we are definitely the most
careful company out there.
Does
UPS require a signature for delivery?
Bouquets that
are sent to businesses require a signature. Bouquets being
shipped to residential addresses are delivered with no signature
required. If no one is home, UPS will leave the package in
a safe place at the home. We assume no responsibility for
the packages that are left, although problems are almost unheard
of. You may direct us to require a signature for residential
deliveries or release the requirement for businesses. We do,
at our option, require a signature for deliveries going to
major metropolitan residential addresses or other areas where
we feel it would be safer to obtain a signature to prove delivery.
Ie, New York City boroughs, Washington DC, Miami, and any
apartment.
What
kind of problems can occur?
If UPS
determines that the area is unsafe, they may, at the discretion
of the driver, choose to not leave a package that was shipped
with no signature required. If you send us email or a fax
saying that the package can be left with no signature, we
will contact
UPS for you and inform them that you have directed us to release
the package. However, based on experience, this is not a good
idea.
My
package was refused or is being returned to Cathy's Cookie Baskets
for other reasons?
For any reason that a bouquet of
cookies gets returned to us, the
shipping charges are not refundable.
There will also be a re-stocking fee
of $15 -

- What about Alaska and
Hawaii and Puerto Rico?
Call us first
at 888-921-3344 for a rate and transit time quote. The shipping
charges for Alaska and Hawaii are not included in online ordering,
they range anywhere from $5 to $25 more than our posted shipping
charges and may include additional days in transit. Please
call us for a shipping price quote and number of days in transit.
Puerto Rico is substantially more expensive. We Do Not
Ship Overseas, to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean or any other
countries. The time in transit is unknown due to customs and
the shipping charges would be in excess of $100 per basket.
